Low Cost Local Dues 

NCJAR is committed to providing the best possible member services at the lowest possible cost.  We strive to keep our expenses down with careful budgeting while meeting and exceeding all of the service requirements for local associations as per our National Association rules.  Our dues have remained consistently low and very competitive with other Boards. 

Continuing Education 

Our Education Committee puts together a series of education for our members on timely issues affecting the real estate industry in legislative, legal and local arenas.  Realtor education and designation courses are continually offered.   GRI, CRS, CRB, ABR, SRES courses are scheduled at both board locations – Morris and Short Hills.  Our new member orientation covers Agency, Fair Housing, Contracts, Code of Ethics, and all phases of the real estate transaction. 

In-House Print Shop 

Our full-service print shop offers our member professional printing at competitive rates and discounts.  No job is too big or too small.  Located in our Morris office. 

Vendor Alliances 

Because we are 5,000 members strong, we can obtain vendor alliances in areas such as computers, long –term care insurance, and more. 

Technology Training 

The only board with two fully equipped computer labs (one at each of our locations) for hands-on training in windows, web design, Top Producer, Palm, e-mail, MLS-Altaira, word, excel and more.  Classes run all year long.  

Professional Standards 

Fully trained Grievance and Professional Standards committees to serve the members’ needs with regard to enforcement of the Code of Ethics and resolution of arbitration complaints as well as three fully trained mediators. 

NCJAR Weekly News Fax 

A brief one-page summary of issues and events taking place at the board and in the industry.  Faxed to all offices each week. 

E-Mail 

All members who provide us with their e-mail address are on our list to receive all communications via e-mail.  It helps us get our message out to all of our members and keep our costs down, thereby keeping our dues low.   

NAR, NJAR & GSMLS Representation 

Our membership of 5,000+ strong gives us a major voice on the State and National levels.  Our board is represented by six votes at our state level, the largest number of votes of any board in New Jersey.  On the National level, we are part of the “large board Vision 2001” alliance.  In addition, many of our members and Trustees are members of several state and national committees as well as the state Executive committee.  We are very proud of the representation we have for our members. 

Orientation 

Our orientation course is conducted for new members twice monthly and covers all aspects of real estate and board affiliation. 

Affiliate Membership 

Through our Affiliate members the association promotes better working relationships with all the related areas in the real estate industry, title companies, mortgage companies, savings & loans associations, home inspectors, insurance, attorneys, and more. 

Realtor of the Year 

This is the highest honor that can be bestowed by a peer group.  The recipient represents the Association in the New Jersey Association award program. 

Committees 

All projects and programs offered by the Association are sponsored and directed by one or more of our committees.  Volunteer forms are available on this site.  We welcome all of our members to participate on a committee.  It is one of the best ways to meet people, get involved in your association, and advance yourself. 

Consumer Calls 

Consumer calls and complaints have become an important part of our service.  All calls are answered within 24 hours.  The Grievance Committee reviews each complaint and when determined by the committee to move forward, the Professional Standards committee will hold a hearing.  Mediation service is an adjunct to the committee. 

REALTOR® Supplies 

MLS Forms, Contracts on disk, Listing Agreements, Maps, Town Profiles, organizers, brochure stands, room measurers, calculators, leather/vinyl pouches and holders for cell phone and beeper, customer/client gift ideas are all available at our “stores”.  Visit our board store inventory list on this web site.  Stores are located at both board offices.
