North Central Jersey Association of REALTORS® Membership Application
Membership in the REALTOR® organization is a professional distinction, which places you among a group of peers who aspire to a higher ethics standard and educational process. To industry colleagues and consumers, your REALTOR® membership reflects strong commitment to professionalism and a personal investment in real estate as a career pursuit. In becoming a REALTOR®, you now hold joint membership in the Local (NCJAR), State (NJAR), and National (NAR) Associations, and have clearly set yourself apart from all other real estate licensees in New Jersey.
Code of Ethics/Professional Standards: : As a REALTOR® you pledge to abide by a Code of Ethics set forth by the National Association of REALTOR®. The articles of the Code impose high standards of moral and professional conduct that members are to observe in carrying out all business transactions.
Public Policy & Government Affairs: In cooperation with our State and National Associations, we have developed an extensive grass-roots government affairs program, which enables interested members to participate in public policy advocacy efforts. As a member of NCJAR, you are invited to join in our Legislative Calls-For-Action, and to express your views to federal lawmakers on important industry-related legislative and regulatory matters. To support public policy favorable to the real estate industry, NCJAR campaigns on political causes that will serve to benefit home ownership, private property rights, and your ability to freely practice real estate.
Legal Hotline: To help our members minimize their risk and to assist in answering legal questions, NCJAR is proud to offer our members a legal help line. This service is made available to NCJAR authorized members, and provides answers to most frequently asked legal questions..
NCJAR Technology Hotline & IT Department: Working with our IT Consultant, RJR Solutions, we offer our members discounted technology services, troubleshooting and walk-in availability! In addition, our free technology hotline is available to answer all technology questions.
Professional Development: As a NCJAR member, you can take advantage of a variety of professional development and continuing education programs designed to help you advance your career. NCJAR offers a number of courses which provide the opportunity to earn nationally recognized real estate designations, such as Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Buyer Representative (CRB), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Senior Residential Specialist (SRES), Certification programs on new technology (e-Pro), Green Core and Green Electives, diversity training, as well as other specialty areas of the profession. NCJAR maintains two onsite computer labs for hands-on training classes in a variety of topics, plus training for the multiple listing service.
Communications & Publications: : Electronic publication from the Board, State and National will come weekly to our members. In addition, members receive the NJ REALTOR® Magazine, and the National REALTOR® Magazine. In addition, we promote a positive image of REALTORS® to the public through cooperative efforts with our State and National Associations ad campaigns, the placement of news stories and publicity announcements in the press, and production of consumer-oriented promotional literature. Members have access to three association websites, ncjar.com, njar.com, realtor.org, which enable you to receive legal and legislative updates, housing market reports, news releases and promotional announcements.
NCJAR Scholarships: Three scholarships, each in the amount of $2,500 are available to our members and their families each year.
REALTOR® Stores: NCJAR maintains two fully equipped stores at our locations in Morristown and Springfield. Store products range from real estate related products and gifts to the full range of REALTOR® forms. NCJAR also produces our own Contract of Sale on diskette, which can be purchased online at our website ncjar.com.
North Central School of Business: Offers the Salesperson and Broker licensing courses at four locations Morristown, Springfield, Wayne, and Branchburg.
New Jersey Referral Network: Offers our members the ability to place your license in referral and still earn a commission.
